Well, it’s time for another installment of ‘As the interns turn’. Yes, folks, intern Chris has officially graduated (thanks to an anonymous contribution of cookies and neatly folded $100 dollar bills) and he is passing the baking equipment and spatula to Doug Harris, our newest enrollee in the LRB intern slave-fest. Doug hails from Dallas, PA and moved to Charlotte with his girlfriend Amanda in September, leaving his beloved Rottweiler Jager at home with his folks. Can I get an ‘awwwwwwww....’?

Doug is a big fan of the NFL, video games and loves to hunt and fish. He’s even been known to fire up the charcoal briquettes to grill up his prey on occasion. Aside from being a self-described ‘Computer Geek’, Doug is a major movie addict and can recite ‘The Princess Bride’ from beginning to end, the Peter Cook part is his favorite. Doug has already proven himself adept at coffee-schlepping and T-shirt modeling and we look forward to a semester with him at our every beck and call.
